Workplace Concern Form 2026-07

Filed 7 July 2026 · The Only Workplace Concern Form Ever Completed

Routed by the Director of Editorial Operations · Status: Open · The memes continue

The Workplace Concern Form was introduced in 2023 and offered to the Senior Cataloguer on several occasions (see Grievance No. 47), who declined on principle. The form below, filed by Joe of the second floor, is the first and only completed specimen in the publication's records. It is reproduced in full, with the routing notes.

Workplace Concern · No. 2026-07 · Filed 7 July 2026

1. Name of concerned party

Joe, second floor

2. Party the concern concerns

Jon, Circulation Manager

3. Nature of the concern, in the filer's own words

The undersigned wishes to report that the Circulation Manager engages in meme harvesting during work hours, and that the undersigned is the primary recipient of the harvest. The memes arrive by interoffice envelope, printed, one to several per working day, without comment, without context, and without mercy. They are unsigned except for the word "Jon" followed by a period. The undersigned wishes to be clear that the concern is not the quality of the memes, which is consistently excellent and occasionally devastating, but the volume, the regularity, and the fact that the undersigned has begun to look forward to the 10:40 interoffice cart, which he resents. The undersigned further reports that on the one occasion he asked Jon to stop, a single envelope arrived the following morning containing a meme about asking Jon to stop.

Joe
Hi all! First of all, a completed Workplace Concern Form, what a milestone for the process, and I want to honor Joe for modeling good channels. On the substance: the harvesting allegation could not be substantiated, as Jon maintains no electronic address (see Form 12-B, issuance of 2020); the source of the memes remains unestablished, and the leading theory involves the public library, on Tuesdays. Jon was asked whether meme distribution falls under his position description; he replied that the document "enumerates duties, not pastimes," which Legal is still sitting with. When invited to submit a statement for this file, Jon submitted a meme. It was, by unanimous account, apposite. I am parking-lotting the volume question for Q4 and gently noting that hand delivery of printed material to an engaged reader is, technically, the strongest circulation result this publication has recorded since 2004.
