Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect as little as possible. Here’s what we actually collect, why, and who else sees it.
1. What we collect
If you sign up for the newsletter: your email address. That’s the only thing we ask for.
If you submit an entry suggestion via the submission form: the contents of your submission and any contact info you choose to provide.
If you visit the Site without submitting anything: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs your IP address, browser type, and pages requested for security and traffic analysis. We don’t personally have access to or use this data.
We do not run third-party analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or behavioral advertising trackers on the Site.
2. How we use it
- Newsletter emails are used only to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
- Submissions are reviewed by us; we may publish accepted entries on the Site (see Terms, §5).
- Server logs are used by our hosting provider to keep the Site running and protect against abuse.
3. Third-party services
We use the following service providers to operate the Site. Each has its own privacy practices:
- Buttondown, newsletter delivery. They store and process subscriber email addresses.
- Formspree, submission form processing. They store and forward submissions.
- Cloudflare, hosting and CDN. They handle traffic and basic logs.
- Unsplash, photo hosting for our images. They serve images from their CDN; standard browser request data applies.
4. Cookies
The Site itself does not set any cookies. Cloudflare may set a security-related cookie for bot mitigation. No advertising or analytics cookies are used.
5. Your rights
You can:
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time (link in every email).
- Email us at admin@thiccctionary.com to ask what we have on you, request deletion, or correct anything.
- Use a private/incognito browser window if you don’t want even basic server logs to associate with your usual IP.
6. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted info, email us and we’ll delete it.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date.
